Alec’s debut album “Hurt” is a collaboration between him and Rob Shaw, a music producer based in Boston. Alec and Rob met forituitously in the capacity of college counseling when Alec decided to turn from business to theatre. Alec and Rob quickly discovered their shared interest in songwriting and music production as well as their shared musical taste. Moved by Alec’s raw, unapologetic, unencumbered truth and emotion in his songwriting, he began producing Alec’s songs. Finding that they both embraced their flegeling dark pop sound at the time of their third collaboration, they both knew they had found a match made in heaven.  

Rob, with a background in jazz, classical, rock, and electronic music and experience producing and mixing, siezed Alec’s simple but rich and powerful song structures and melodies and evolved them into full productions utilizing multifarious instrumentation and production techniques. Over the course of seven months, Alec and Rob wrote, produced, and mixed eleven songs that came to form Alec’s debut album, “Hurt.”
